WE BRING ALGAE

INTO THE CLASSROOM

Nature obsessed. Education focussed.

We create spaces and experiences that celebrate algae and its place in our lives.

Based in the NSW Northern Rivers with a focus on education and local community, our programs and collaborations spread the good word about algae and its role in our sustainable future.

Positioned at the intersection between community and algae research, East Coast Algae strives for collective awareness and algae education, with a focus on young people growing up in a changing world.

A Tiny World of Big Discoveries!

Microalgae sustain life on Earth and inspire breakthroughs in biotechnology. Under the microscope, their beauty shines. See this incredible world through our lens.

Microalgae in your Classroom

We’re launching our Microalgae in Schools program in 2025 that uses our never-before-seen microscopy footage of microalgae to bring a little known world into Australian classrooms. Aligned with the Australian curriculum and initially focussed on NSW Syllabuses, this program is designed to spark curiosity and adventure as students explore nature in its microscopic origins.
